  • 1001 Hints that Something is Wrong in the Workplace – Printer Please!

Hint: Old printers don’t die, they just fade away…
1001 Hints that Something is Wrong in the Workplace-1

Working in multiple workplaces over the years, you get to witness the craziness that happens as well as hear more than a few stories from your fellow workers.

I decided it was time to share some of those stories in a post-it sized format that I post mainly on my Instagram channel.

    Hope you like them!

  • Rewind: UNTITLED Miami Beach 2015

    Rewind: UNTITLED Miami Beach 2015

While I loved attending UNTITLED Miami Beach 2015, I don’t have as many pics or any video as I should cause I did not pay heed to the cardinal rule of Miami Art Week: always, always, always have backup batteries for your camera and smartphone!!!!!

IF my batteries would have lasted, you would have seen more pics of the 127 international exhibitors, galleries, non-profit organizations and institutions, and artist-run exhibition spaces from over 20 countries as well as pics from Untitled-Radio on Wynwood Radio.

This year I promise not to make that error again when I go to UNTITLED Miami Beach 2016!

  • NYFW Notas September 2016 – 3×3 Size NYFW Highlights

NYFW Notas September 2016 – 3×3 Size NYFW Highlights

I decided to something a little different in my coverage of the collections for Fashion Week month since doing the same old thing of writing a blog post review in the same old format felt boring and stale.

So this year I decided to do post-it sized illustrations of my favorite looks from the collections I loved!

Here are my notas from NYFW!

  • Design Coolness: GUILD Eyewear

    Design Coolness: GUILD Eyewear

Guild Handcrafted Eyewear is one of my fave design finds for October! Their frames are just what a discerning eyewear connoisseur, like moi, needs to stand out from the rest.

Trying to find frames that stand out and are well-made has been one of my missions ever since I started wearing glasses in college. Over the years, I have only found a handful of frames that meet both criteria, so it’s nice to “discover” a company like GUILD Eyewear that not only has the same aesthetics as I do but also loves eyewear like I do.

  • Art Basel 2016

    Art Basel 2016

Art Basel 2016, with an attendance of  more than 95,000 coming to see the works of 4,000+ artists across 6 days, proved that the contemporary art market is more than resilient enough against the current economic climes. This 47th edition, featuring 286 of the world’s leading galleries from 33 countries, reigned supreme above all the other contemporary art fairs so far in 2016.

With sectors like Galleries, Statements, Feature, Unlimited, Parcours, and Film there was something there for collectors, whether private or institutional, and curators focused on seeing the best in Modern and Contemporary art to discover.

One of my favorites of the Art Basel sectors, regardless of the show location, is the Conversations and Salons series which brings together people from all over the art world and beyond to engage in enlightening, entertaining and sometimes very provocative discussions.

This year’s topics in Basel included 100 years of Dada, the COBRA group, the longer view of the impact of looting, race & justice and the challenges creating art in communities. Luckily for us who weren’t able to attend in person, we can watch these talks on YouTube .

This year’s show also included the announcement that Art Basel will be partnering with UBS to produce a new annual art market report, which makes perfect sense considering the years of Art Basel has been staging premier art shows.

The new ‘Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report’ will be an objective and independent study authored by Dr. Clare McAndrew and her Dublin-based research and consulting firm Arts Economics. Covering the main macro-economic trends and delivering fundamental data on the art market as a whole, the first ‘Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report’ will be published in March 2017 to coincide with Art Basel’s Hong Kong show.

Hopefully, next year will be the year I finally get to attend Art Basel in Basel!
