My latest digital photography project has me exploring the strength and power of a person’s personality that lingers decades after their image is taken.

New: Major Diane Arbus exhibition opening July 12 at The Met Breuer
Part of the inaugural season at The Met Breuer, diane arbus: in the beginning highlights never-before-seen early work of Diane Arbus (1923–71). The exhibition features more than 100 photographs focusing on the first seven years of her career, from 1956 to 1962—the period in which she developed the idiosyncratic style and approach for which she has been recognized, praised, criticized, and copied the world over.
The exhibition will be featured on the Museum’s website, as well as on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #dianearbus and #MetBreuer.
Following its presentation at The Met Breuer, diane arbus: in the beginning will travel to SFMOMA (January 21-April 30, 2017).

I saw this image online and it is profound, disturbing and perfectly captures this moment in time.

This year’s Florida Supercon was a jam-packed super festival of comics, cosplay, anime, fantasy, Sci-Fi, video gaming and TV & Movie stars appearances!
Parking was a definite challenge with construction blocking the normally openlarge parking lot across from the convention center and it taking place during Fourth of July Weekend, with a million tourists in town!
However, it was worth all the obstacles to attend it and I’m sure my fellow attendees felt the same.

Design Miami/Basel 2016, which took place June 14-19, had its strongest showing so far!
This 11th edition featured strong programming, like the Design Talks/ panel with designers Formafantasma, rugmaker Alexandra Kehayoglou and jewelry maker David Bielender moderated by Christian Larson, associate curator of modern and contemporary art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
There were also epic collaborations like the Collectors Lounge/ designed by Kuehn Malvezzi with the support of Artek and Kvadrat. And wonderful satellite exhibitions, including one that featured innovative works by the iconic Zaha Hadid.
And if you weren’t able to be at this year’s spectacular edition, watching the updates from the forum on Instagram , Facebook, Twitter was almost as good as actually being there.
Looking at this year’s highlights, via Camron PR, I cannot wait for December’s Design Miami/ 2016 in South Beach! (more…)

My name is Mone Knows and I have a serious makeup addiction!!! Although my personal preferred makeup look is “barely there neutral”, I am not a makeup product minimalist – I have two drawers and a sectional storage piece to house my current collection.
However, due to my recent Jeffree Star Cosmetics purchases and planned future acquisitions, I am contemplating converting another desk drawer to add some additional space!
I first became aware of Jeffree Star Cosmetics a couple years back as rave reviews of his first set of Velour Liquid Lipsticks started popping up on my Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds. So after seeing makeup vlogger after makeup vlogger sing praises about this brand on YouTube as well as watching Jeffree’s pretty amazing vlogs. earlier this year, I got the deep rich chocolate brown shade, Dominatrix.
My total happiness with this product led me to get another shade and then another and then another! Then when Jeffree announced the launch of his own eyeshadow palette, Beauty Killer and Skin Frost highlighting powders, I knew I would be one of thousands of Jeffree Star Cosmetics lovers scrambling to get their order in on the launch date.
The three main reasons why I love this brand so much are: quality, cost and value – you get an excellent product, at a great price, at a size that not only equals but exceeds other brands in the market.
Take a look at my opening and swatching Instagram post of the King Tut Skin Frost as well as pic of a side-by-side comparison of it along side another brand’s highlighting powder:
I will admit I felt a little salty that I was not able to get the Beauty Killer Eyeshadow Palette when it initially launched but I am happy to say I was able to get one this weekend when it was restocked.
There will be four new Velour Liquid shades launching in July and the Androgyny Eye Shadow Palette in September, so I’ll be making space for future new additions in my collection!

This year I am running to be a Florida District 20 Delegate because I want to make sure the voices of the great people making up this diverse district are represented at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia!
Early voting takes places on May 5th from 3pm-7pm and Election Day is May 7th from 10am-2pm.
Make sure to bring your voter registration card and ID as volunteers will be checking to make sure you are in the correct congressional district.
Thank you for your support and looking forward to meeting you on May 7th!
