The Melech Collection translates to “King”, and is the genesis of Stoudemire’s acclaimed career in sports, a lifelong interest in culture, and dedication to philanthropy. Uniting seemingly disparate audiences of sports and contemporary art, The Melech Collection teaches the value of cultural capital through the cumulative knowledge of mind and body; to be truly empowered, awareness and action must exert in conjunction.
Stoudemire will curate a 40 foot installation as a highlight of SCOPE Miami Beach’s Special Programs. Additionally, Stoudemire will conceptualize and lead a lively panel discussion in SCOPE’s Atrium, moderated by Sotheby’s.
Definitely on my “Must-See” List for this edition of SCOPE Miami Beach!
The 17th edition of this magnificent contemporary art fair, SCOPE Miami Beach 2017, comes to South Florida December 05 thru December 10 so save-the-date!
How I wish I could be in NYC this week!!! The 16th edition of SCOPE New York 2016 starts today March 3rd thru March 6th one block from the Armory Shoes Piers at Metropolitan West Pavilion. 60 international galleries will be in attendance showing the best in contemporary art.
SCOPE New York stands apart from the rest with their critically-acclaimed open-plan exhibition design that allows exhibiting galleries to flow organically in the space rather than being smushed in small booths on top of each other.
This year their special programming includes the RUSH PHILANTHROPIC ARTS FOUNDATION presenting a new, limited edition print portfolio marking the 20th Anniversary of Rush and its programs.
Using the SCOPE Art App, visitors can access the catalog, check out exhibitor highlights , view the floor plan and create their own collections!
Event highlights include: The Platinum First View Brunch, on Thursday, March 3, 2 – 4PM: Featuring complimentary cocktails. This event is free for Platinum VIP cardholders, by invitation, or $150 ticket at the door. Also on Thursday, March 3, SCOPE welcomes registered Press and VIP cardholders to our Preview reception, with complimentary cocktails from 4 – 6PM.

Yup, The Breaks Lounge definitely is on my SCOPE Miami Beach must-see list especially since The Breaks star Mack Wilds will be doing a live DJ set during Tuesday evening’s opening reception in the SCOPE Atrium, hosted by VH1.
As the recent SCOPE Miami Beach update says:
ONCE UPON A RHYME… Hip hop changed culture as we know it, and the early 90s in New York City was one of its most groundbreaking eras. Were celebrating the artists and the music that defined the times and changed the game forever.
Thats why were bringing this innovative era of music to SCOPE Miami Beach to celebrate VH1s new original movie, The Breaks, premiering on Monday, January 4th.
The “Breaks Lounge” will capture the spirit of that time and place with a playlist curated by Q-Tip and rare hip hop memorabilia. Check out original A Tribe Called Quest lyric sheets and rare authentic ’90s hip hop apparel on loan from DJ Ross One, author of Rap Tees: A Collection of Hip-Hop T-Shirts 1980-1999.
Dont just take a selfie, make a GIF in the #PHHHOTO booth, and go home with a customized beat from Monster DNA!
Last year’s SCOPE Miami Beach was outstanding success with their over 100 exhibitors, 20 Breeder Program galleries, excellent social media outreach, innovative special programming and cool collaborations.
Can’t wait till December to attend this year’s edition!
Mr. Ben Brown is one of my favorite YouTube travel vloggers and yesterday he announced via Snapchat that he would be taking questions for a Snapchat Q&A video. Given that he has thousands of followers and probably would get a ton of questions, I figured I would not make the cut.
My budget is very, very limited, so I getting feedback from Mr. Ben Brown, who’s vlogs always look amazing, is more than helpful. I plan on getting the Canon GX-7and maybe a couple accessories.
