The #Coolness – Le Corbusier: The Interior of the Cabanon at Cassina

The famous Le Corbusier Cabanon is being reconstructed in the United States for the first time during Design Miami 2012 at the Cassina Miami Showroom and is launching with an exclusive first-look on Thursday December 6th at 7PM.

The exhibition features the authentic reconstruction of the actual interior of the Cabanon, which Le Corbusier planned and built in 1952 for his holidays in Cap-Martin, France. The Cabanon is an apparently unpretentious sea-side hut, comprising a remarkable example of significant micro-architecture. The Cabanon will be reconstructed in the Cassina Miami showroom. Jean-Louis Cohen, a renowned Le Corbusier scholar and professor of architecture at New York University, will curate the exhibition.

Le Corbusier: The Interior of the Cabanon is on my must-see list !

    The #Coolness – Pulse Miami 2012

Pulse Miami 2012 Dec 4-9 at the Ice Palace Studios in Miami is a definite must see.  Since it’s inception 8 years ago, this art fair has established itself as one of the leaders in the international contemporary art scene.

“As one of the longstanding art fairs in Miami and New York to host local and international exhibitors, PULSE is
oftentimes a barometer of the global art market. This year, PULSE Miami will feature a greater number of
international galleries than that of other satellite fairs. Weʼve noticed a particularly growing presence of European
galleries that are relying on a strong US market to sustain sales,” comments Cornell DeWitt, Director.
“Headquartered in New York City, we also hope to provide a resurgence for our vital New York galleries suffering
from the aftermath of recent Hurricane Sandy.”
